Project Overview: The Moynihan Train Hall is a major renovation of the James A. Farley Post Office Building, transforming it into a modern, world-class transportation hub at Penn Station in New York City. The project expanded Penn Station’s floor space by over 50%, including a new 255,000-square-foot train hall, waiting areas, ticketing areas for Amtrak and Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), and extensive commercial space.

Design Highlights: This project for Tuttle consisted of glass in shoe railing with stainless steel cap on glass and base show cladding at stair and escalator openings. One line stainless steel rails with custom tapered post at ramps. Glass in shoe railing at stairs with stainless steel cap on glass, base shoe cladding and a LED lighted assist railing that provides lighting on the stair treads.
